CM Travels to State College (Live Updates)
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Today the ‘Cats will seek their ninth consecutive dual meet victory of the season at State College.
The Little Lions have been improving with wins over Central Dauphin East (49-29), Holidaysburg (51-21), Chambersburg (39-24), Harrisburg (60-13), Altoona (28-22), Carlisle (52-20), Pittston (58-16), Pius X (69-9) and Crestwood (62-9). Though State fell to Cumberland Valley (53-3), Jersey Shore (48-23), Quakertown (44-22), Central Dauphin (65-6) and Mifflin County (45-24).
By contrast, Central Mountain defeated Mifflin County 36-24 as the only common opponent they have faced so far this season.
The match could be a preview of the District 6 AAA Duals set for one week hence in Tyrone. The Ltittle Lions are the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will wrestle Altoona next week. If SC advances they will face the Wildcats in the semis. Central Mountain will have a bye in the first round as the No. 1 seed.
The outcome today could be a significant measure of the potential for the D6 Duals as CM has their full compliment back in the starting lineup.
