Multiple injuries in Route 64 Amish buggy – van crash

WALKER TOWNSHIP, PA – Several occupants of an Amish buggy were badly injured Saturday afternoon when the buggy was struck from behind by a van.

Rockview state police have issued an updated report on the accident on Route 64 near Hecla Park Road. They said a van was westbound on Route 64 when it struck the horse and buggy. Police said Ezra Peachey, 50, from Howard and two teenaged boys were hurt. Two were taken by helicopter to UPMC Williamsport and the third by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Police said the van driver was taken to the hospital but was not injured.
