CM track debuts refurbished facility, splits with Milton
MILL HALL, PA – The Central Mountain track programs had their first formal competition on their newly restored facility behind the Central Mountain Middle School on Tuesday, Milton the opponent for the first home meet of the year. The Lady Wildcats earned an 81.5 to 68.5 win, their fourth victory of the season. The boys team fell to the visiting Black Panthers by an 86.50 to 62.50 score.
Coach Ellie Sikorskaās girls team had three double-winners in Rachel Hall in the 100 and pole vault and Lily Hendricks in the long jump and triple jump and Abbey Wolfe in the 3200-m and 1600-m runs. Other first-place finishers were Macy Plowman in the 200, Julie Schubach in the 400, Abigail Zimmerman in the high jump, Grace Rizzo in the discus and the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams.
The boysā squad had one double-winner in Logan Dawes in the shot put and discus. Sam Wible took first in the 400 and the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams earned firsts.
Both teams will compete at the Lock Haven University Invitational on Friday.
