MUNCY, PA- There wasn’t very much to cheer for on Monday in Muncy for the Bucktail baseball team. The Indians 19-run first inning all but sealed the deal on the outcome of this Mid Penn Conference contest. The Indians prevailed by a 21-4 final in three innings.
The Bucks would keep fighting, clean up their fielding following a 5-error first inning and give their very best to the very end.
Bucktail did pound out 8 hits on the day, but none was bigger than when Kyler “Noodles” Friese launched a Styles Eyer pitch over the fence in the third inning.
Xander Shearer collected a pair of hits, including a double to lead the Bucks. Friese’s home run was his only hit of the game. Ethan Charcalla, Gary Whipp and Ethan Kalafut also collected hits for Bucktail. Charcalla, along with Talan Ditty and Jake Leiter collected RBI’s.
Bucktail will next be in action on Thursday, home against 0-2 West Branch out of District 6.
