The current total fundraising amount is $1,012,000.  The Lock Haven Catholic School Expansion Committee in a release said it is amazed at the support received thus far, but wanted to remind people that Lock Haven Catholic School needs their help more than ever to help them reach their total goal of $1.5 million. Those with an interest in helping are asked to contact Brooke Fravel, Development Manager, at the school, bfravel@lhcs.orgor 570-748-7252.

Students marked the fundraising benchmark by posing this week at the site of the planned expansion, where work is to begin shortly on a 10,000-square foot addition to its W. Water St. building.

The addition will provide two classrooms, restroom facilities, a kitchen area and a multi-purpose room. M & R Contracting is the contractor for the project; expectations are it will be completed by spring of next year.

Lock Haven Catholic this year added a seventh grade class for the first time and has announced plans to add an eighth grade for the next school year, making the school a combined elementary and middle school facility.
