Wildcat tracksters with multiple champs at LHU High School Classic

LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Central Mountain track teams, both boys and girls, had multiple first-place finishers and placers at the Lock Haven University High School Classic staged over the weekend at LHU’s Jack Stadium.

Pacing the Wildcat performance was Lily Hendricks with a first in the triple jump, a second in the long jump and a fourth in the high jump. The boys side saw in the high jump  a first from Brett Gerlach who also added a second in the triple jump.

Other Wildcat firsts came from Logan Dawes in the shot put. Also Anton Stratts, first in the discus and a fifth in the shot put.

Third places were achieved by Rachel Hall in the 100 meters and Michael Cashwell in the 800. Grace Rizzo nabbed a seventh in the discus and Garrison Lucas took eighth in the 200 meters.

The teams did well in the relays: the girls third in the 4×100 and sixth in the 4×400; the boys finished seventh in both those events.

The meet drew 22 teams and Central Mountain compiled 52 points for fifth place. Williamsport took the title with 117 points.

The CM track squads are next scheduled to compete at Williamsport on Tuesday.
