County commissioners approve ARP funding for five municipal infrastructure projects
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clinton County Commissioners at their Thursday meeting approved more than $270,000 for distribution to five municipalities or authorities for water/sewer-related improvements. The money comes from the county’s American Rescue Plan funds provided by the federal government.
As announced and approved:
Western Clinton County Municipal Authority, $15,873 for Renovo area wastewater improvements…
Crawford Township Authority, $40,000 for water system upgrades…
Suburban Lock Haven Water Authority, $68,800 for a waterline replacement project…
Loganton Borough, $116,000 for water meter equipment…
Avis Borough, $33,000 for sewer line rehabilitation…
Loganton Borough Mayor David Schreckengast was present and thanked the commissioners for the allocation. He said purchase of new water meters would have been “almost impossible” without the money for Loganton’s 450 residents and the 200 water hook-ups there. Lamenting the loss of “millions of gallons” of unmetered water, he said the equipment will produce more revenue for the borough.
