LHU’s Azaria Moore secures All-American honors at 2025 NCWWC National Championship

CORALVILLE, Iowa (Saturday, Mar. 8th) — After an eventful first day at the 2025 NCWWC National Championship, Azaria Moore headlined the Lock Haven women’s wrestling team by capping off an impressive through the consolation bracket to earn All-American honors.

Moore racked up five victories over the two-day event and finished her run by finishing sixth to claim All-American status.

Moore started off day two with an impressive win over Paige Maher (Simon Frazer) via a 6-2 decision. Next up on the docket for Moore was a match against Madison Sandquist (Sacred Heart). Moore kept her momentum going, shutting down Sandquist and holding on to win by a 6-1 decision.

Moore fell in her fin­al two matches to No. 2 ranked Naomi Simon (Iowa) and No. 5 ranked Brittyn Corbishley to finish sixth, earning All-American.

In total Moore finished with an overall record of 5-3 and accounted for 10.5 of Lock Haven’s 21.5 team points.

Lock Haven’s point total earned the Bald Eagles a top-20 finish in the country.

In total the 10 Bald Eagles wrestlers to qualify for Nationals is the most in program history, beating out the previous high of six set in 2024. The Haven finished as a top-20 ranked team in the country and racked up eight wins on the year.

Alyssa Favara finished the season ranked No. 4 at 207#.

Senior standout Lily Sherer capped her career as a four-time national qualifier, All-American (2022) and the program’s all-time wins leader.
