Phoenix gals off to 1-1 start

McALISTERVILLE, PA – The 2021 season is underway this week for the Sugar Valley Phoenix volleyball squad and the Loganton-based team is off to a 1-1 start.

The SVRCS team opened its season Tuesday, losing 3-0 to a very talented Williamsport squad. The girls bounced back with a decisive victory t against East Juniata on Wednesday, winning all three sets, 25-21, 25-16, 25-15. The team will be back in action Monday against Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy.

Sugar Valley since the program inception has been playing all its games on the road, but is hopeful to stage a first contest in its new gym upon its completion in the near future.
