Renovo Community Goes Above and Beyond in Local Challenge

In nearly a year dominated by hard times, a wonderful light has shined through.

Last February, the Renovo Council of Churches began a plan to benefit Bucktail Medical Centers’ building improvement costs by issuing a challenge to local churches, businesses, and individuals to match an amount of money provided by the Council.

After the COVID-19 delay that closed our meetings for several months, in September Council announced it had a $2,500 “seed” and asked for donations to match so we could present $5,000 to the medical center. In this event that ran from October through November 2020, the people of our area and beyond opened their hearts and wallets to bring the total to over $10,000!

This true outpouring of Christian love and the miracle that brightened a somber season surely raises our hope for the future.
