Michael Anthony Caruso – Obituary

Michael Anthony Caruso, 67, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at his home.

Born in Lock Haven on June 25, 1953, he was the son of the late Angelo and Anna Catherine Carlson Caruso.

Mike was a 1971 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1973 to 1975.

Mike was employed for many years at Hammermill Paper Company before working at High Steel of Williamsport.

He was Catholic by faith and a devoted daily reader of his Bible.

Mike was a member of the Lock Haven Son’s of Italy, Castanea Fire Company Social Hall and the local 40 & 8 Club.

Through his challenges, Mike was always a kind hearted, thoughtful and very caring person.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Kimberly Schmidt of Lock Haven; a son, Anthony (Jenna) Caruso of Maryland; a brother, Mark Caruso of Mill Hall; a sister, Roberta (Barry) Daniels of Mill Hall; a sister-in-law, Jennifer Caruso of Woolrich; an aunt, Carole (John) Robert of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Olive, Max, Rocco and Frank Caruso; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Kurt Caruso.

Due to the current restrictions, a Memorial Service for Mike will be announced at a later date.
