Floreen Carol Ruggiers – Obituary
Floreen Carol Ruggiers, 76, of Lock Haven passed away Monday, January 5, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born December 2, 1944 in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Theo (Miller) Blazina.
Carol was a 1962 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She was married to John J. Ruggiers, Jr., with whom she shared 58 of marriage.
Carol worked at Cobbler’s in Williamsport before devoting her life to raising her children. Later, she was employed at Woolrich Woolen Mills for more than 30 years, before retiring.
Carol was an avid BINGO player and also enjoyed spending time on her tablet.
She loved her pets: Cutter James, her dog; Georgie and Flash, her cats; and the outside cats she cared for.
Most cherished, though, was the time she spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, John J. Ruggiers, Jr., she is survived by five children: John Ruggiers, III of Lock Haven, Amy (James) Donley of Bellefonte, Mark Ruggiers of Lock Haven, Cindy Ruggiers (Roosevelt Rebimbas) of Delaware and Linda Ruggiers (Gregory Kramer) of Lock Haven; six siblings: Linda (Paul) Albright of Pine Grove Mills, Frank (Elena) Blazina of State College, Deb Smith of Castanea, Tim (Kathy) Blazina of Lock Haven, Terry (Tina) Blazina of Lock Haven and Skip Blazina (Lori Beers) of Lock Haven; nine grandchildren: Jimmy Donley, Stacy Wyland, Ashley Ruggiers, Michael Wise, Brittany Ruggiers, Seth Donley, Zachary Smith, Brett Ruggiers and Chrystal Rebimbas; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Joe and Steve Blazina and Mary Workman.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 12:30 P.M. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Memorial contributions in Carol’s name may be made to the Clinton County S.P.C.A. through the funeral home.
