Barbara Jean Johnson – Obituary

Barbara Johnson, 83 died December 2, 2020 at Manor Care in Carlisle, PA. She was a resident of Mechanicsburg, PA. Formerly a resident of South Renovo, PA. She graduated from Renovo High School in 1955.

Born December 17, 1936 in Renovo, PA, was the daughter of the late Merrill L. and Dorothy E. Johnson.

She attended the First United Methodist Church in Renovo, PA. and belonged to the Rainbow Girls in Renovo.

She was married and had two sons, Doug and Don Waltz of Mechanicsburg. She also had four grandchildren; Mattie, Bailey, Arin and Carson and one great grandchild, all from Mechanicsburg.

Surviving are two sisters; Mrs. James (Leah) Helm of TN. And Sandra Austin of OK. and a brother; Tucker Johnson of Woolrich, PA. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a long time friend, Judy from Dover, PA.

She had three brothers that are deceased; Robert, Clyde and James Johnson of Renovo.

She loved going to Ocean City with all of her friends, loved to read and travel.

She worked at Navy Depo in Mechanicsburg, Baker’s Restaurant in Dillsburg, Duplex Printing in Mechanicsburg and Dillsburg, Bell Telephone in Harrisburg, The Messiah Home in Mechanicsburg as a CNA. She also did domestic cleaning for several people.
