Flemington Man Charged with Sexual Assault Involving Juvenile
LAMAR – State police at Lamar have charged a Flemington man with 12 counts related to an alleged sexual assault of a then 14-year-old girl. Alonzo Drew Henry, 20, of Canal Street, Flemington is free on $25,000 bail awaiting a preliminary hearing.
According to the state police report, it was a social media post monitored by Clinton County Children and Youth which led to Henry’s arrest. That post, from a juvenile female, had a response which said “he was a rapist and had raped her.”
A subsequent state police investigation followed and Henry was arrested earlier in December, charged with sexual assault for an incident at his apartment in September of 2019. Police allege the assault occurred after the victim had been plied with multiple alcoholic beverages. Henry faces 12 felony charges relative to the incident.
