Carpenetti, Anastos have Bittersweet Day at D6 AAA Single Tournament

ALTOONA – Central Mountain’s Carolina Carpenetti and Olivia Anastos competed in the District 6 AAA singles tennis tournament today. Carpenetti and Anastos won their first round matches to advance to the quarter final round. They both would fall both lost in the quarters to a seeded players.

Carpenitti defeated Mifflin County’s No. 1 player, Olivia Kahley, 6-0, 6-0, then fell to State College’s No. 1, Quiana Guo, 6-0, 6-1.

Anastos took down Shikellamy’s No. 2 Kiersten Strohecker, 6-1, 6-1, then fell to Hollidaysburg’s No. 1 seed, Isabella Rhodes, 6-1, 6-1.
