Wildcat X-Country Splits with ‘Shore on Senior Day
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – It was an up and down day for the Central Mountain cross country teams on Tuesday as they hosted Jersey Shore for Senior Day.
The Lady Wildcats picked up a 15-0 win over ‘Shore while the boys’ squad fell to the Bulldogs, 36-19.
The top five finishers for the the Lady ‘Cats were: Sophia Dressler, 22:30.4 in second place overall; Maddie Jones, 22:48.04 in third place overall; Gianna Dressler, 23:10.5 in fourth place overall and Autumn Garman 24:21.7 in fifth place overall.
Scoring for the Wildcats were Bryce Gray, 20:34 in fifth place overall; Asher Talbot, 21:18.5 in sixth place overall; Eddie Newman, 21:26.1, in seventh place overall; Ben Streator, 21:26.9, eighth place overall and Evan Wells, 21:44.9 in tenth place overall.
The Wildcat cross-country program honoered three senior members in a pre-meet ceremony for their contributions with Jed Moyer, Ellyn Newman and Bryce Gray receiving accolades for their high school careers.
The Wildcats will next travel to Hughesvile on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020.
