Lady ‘Cat Tennis Continues to Roll, 5-0 over Selinsgrove
SELINSGROVE – Central Mountain girls’ tennis picks up another shutout tonight with a 5-0 win over the Seals.
Carolina Carpenetti led the way for the Lady Wildcats with a tie-breaker win over Selinsgrove’s, Fionna Finnerty, 6-2, 3-6. 6-3 at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles it was Olivia Anastos defeating the Seal’s Avery DeFazio, 6-2, 6-3. Lady ‘Cat, Kati Kwiatek took down Selinsgrove’s McKenna Parker in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
In doubles action, CM’s Ella Talbot and Caitlyn Dale dispatched Emeline Snook and Natalie Imahoof of Selinsgrove, 7-6, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles. Then the No. 2 doubles tandem for Central Mountain, Claire Long and Ellie Gundy defeated the Lady Seal duo of Sophie Markle and Olivia Miller, 6-1, 6-1.
The win takes Central Mountain to 10-1 on the season and the Lady Wildcats will next host Mifflinburg on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020.
