Letter to Editor 9/10

This is Part #1 of a Three Part Opinion Letter.
In Google Search, type this “daily mail latest video on George Floyd death.” When the web site appears, ‘Click’ on “Video: Full bodycam footage of George Floyd’s arrest released”… The footage you’ll be viewing should ‘FROST’ you beyond description. America was ‘DUPED’ to the MAX by the Media! The site will enable you to view the body camera video footage of police officers on the scene of the apprehension and subsequent death of George Floyd, in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25th, 2020. Two of the arresting officer’s body camera videos were purposely withheld by officials in Minneapolis. Authorities’ claimed the videos were evidence in the subsequent investigation and therefore NOT for public viewing. The court system held onto the videos until early August. When pressed by the Lawyer for one of the defendants charged in the incident, the presiding Judge ordered the release of the videos. The videos contain footage of more than 18 minutes from one officer’s bodycam and 10 minutes from the other officer’s bodycam (the films are from the first 2 officers answering the call). The footage begins when the officers arrive at the location of the incident in Minneapolis. The ENTIRE visual narrative perpetrated by the media takes a 180 degree turn, after viewing the officer’s bodycams… in my opinion.
Why does the media do this ? One of two possible reasons: First, is it done to get-out-ahead of the competition? To be the first to report the incident? Even without verifying that there just might be MORE to the report than what they are projecting, STILL, they provide a ‘false-narrative’ in a lot of the reporting… Forgivable ? Not hardly! By doing that, they compel a response that is totally objectionable. Not to mention, dangerous! Especially when their report is Riot provoking. Second, do they do it purposely to provoke a catastrophic effect? Devastation/Destruction/Calamity in the form of Social-unrest ? Sensationalism sells after all. If their purpose in reasoning is #2. Shame on them! The media has fanned the flames of violence toward the police by the black community for years. Black children growing-up, are continuously being fed by the likes of the Al Sharpton’s on TV, that the police are indiscriminately targeting black people unjustly. By the time they become teenagers, the hate and disrespect is rampant in the black community and it is exhibited in their actions from youth into adulthood. The incarceration of blacks in prisons and detention-centers is directly proportional to what they grow up believing. For that, the media has to take a huge portion of the blame
President Trump, knows all too well the way the MSM manipulate and spread outright Lies, when reporting the ‘so-called-news’… That’s why he calls it,’Fake News’!
