CM Golf Downs Mifflinburg, Edges Lewisburg in first Match of 2020
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain knocked off the rust for a pair of wins in a 9-hole, par 37 match with Mifflinburg and Lewisburg visiting the Clinton Country Club Tuesday afternoon.
The host Wildcats had little trouble dispatching the other Wildcats from Mifflinburg with a 171-209 effort by the hosts.
The Green Dragons of Lewisburg would be a tougher task for CM, but they maintained their poise under pressure and edged Lewisburg, 171-175.
Peyton Newlen paced the Wildcats with a round of 41 while Jason Floruss and Brayden Confair were close behind with 43 strokes each.
Rounding out the field where Griffin Walizer with 44, Gunner Redmond, 46 and Gardner Fravel 50.
The top four scores are counted for the total team score.
Central Mountain will take their 2-0 record on the road to Hummers Warf to face Selinsgrove on Thursday, Sept. 10.
