Cameron County High School Suspends Pre-Season Workouts
EMPORIUM – Cameron County School District Superintendent Dr. Keith Wolfe announced on Saturday that Cameron County High School football preseason workouts are suspended pending further investigation by school and medical officials after a possible COVID-19 contact.
The information was first released by radio station Theriver98.9. No other details were immediately available.
Cameron County is scheduled to meet Bucktail High School on Friday, Oct. 30 in Farwell.
Cameron County becomes the first area high school to at least temporarily suspend preseason sports workouts. Several schools in York County in south-central Pennsylvania had made a similar announcement in July.
