DUI
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP— On December 28, 2024, a crash occurred as Denise Wheeler, 37, of Lock Haven, was traveling south on Brewery Hollow Road near its intersection with Ridge Drive. Wheeler veered off the right side of the road and overcorrected, crossing the roadway and hitting the embankment on the left side. This caused her 2014 Kia Sorento to travel up the embankment and overturn, resulting in disabling damage to the vehicle. Wheeler was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured in the accident. She was subsequently arrested for DUI.

LAMAR TOWNSHIP— Prior to a collision that occurred on December 26, 2024, Sukhrob Melikov, M, 34, from Brooklyn, NY, exited I-80 West at mile marker 177.6 while operating a 2021 Freightliner. He continued west on the exit ramp, reaching the intersection with Frank D. O’Reilly Jr. Hwy (US-220). At the same time, Renae Fenstamaker, 57, from Loganton, was traveling south on US-220. According to the report issued by PSP Lamar, the accident occurred when Melikov failed to stop at the stop sign and yield to oncoming traffic at the end of the exit ramp. The Freightliner collided with Fenstamaker’s vehicle at an angle, causing disabling damage to the front of both vehicles. Fenstamaker was transported from the scene with suspected minor injuries.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On December 25, 2024, at 6:11 p.m., a crash took place near 1622 E. Valley Road. Dillon Covalt, 24, from Loganton, failed to negotiate a slight left curve in the road while driving his 2011 Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle veered off the road, struck a roadside fence and gate, and overturned onto its roof. Covalt sustained a possible minor injury, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Reckless Endangerment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On December 24, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to a report of gunshots on Mill Branch Road. Their investigation revealed that Steven Eoute, 45, from Mill Hall, was confronted by a 70-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man, both from York, PA, while he was sitting in a vehicle on their property. It was discovered that Eoute had been creating adult TikTok content for his partner in a wooded area, which turned out to be the victims’ property. As Eoute drove away, he fired multiple rounds from a handgun in an unknown direction. Charges have been filed in District Court 25-3-02.

BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On December 22, 2024, at 11:02 a.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred on Hogan Boulevard when Tanner Cryder, 26, of Lock Haven, failed to notice a red light and proceeded through an intersection, striking Dennis Andrus, 69, of Mill Hall, who was traveling from Sheetz to Lowe’s. Neither operator was injured, but both vehicles were disabled due to the crash and had to be towed from the scene.

PORTER TOWNSHIP— On December 22, 2024, Maggie Houser, 23, from Lamar, was involved in a crash while driving north on Nittany Valley Drive. She lost control of her vehicle, causing it to veer off the roadway. The vehicle continued moving north, hit a guide rail, and then rotated counterclockwise. It struck a pole with the front corner on the driver’s side and continued rotating until it collided with a tree at the rear, finally coming to a stop about 10 feet off the roadway, facing north. No injuries were reported from the crash.
DUI Crash
CASTANEA— On December 21, 2024, at 1:51 a.m., PSP Lamar Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Paul Mack Boulevard and US-220 North. Upon arrival, they identified the driver as a 22-year-old male from Williamsport who was showing signs of alcohol impairment. The incident is currently under investigation, and DUI charges are pending.

FLEMINGTON— On December 21, 2024, a crash took place on Woods Avenue involving Sandra Yost, 82, from Lock Haven, and David Garverick, 71, from Mill Hall. Yost was driving west when she veered out of her lane, crossing the center of the roadway and colliding with Garverick’s 2011 Chrysler 200, which was heading east. Following the impact, both vehicles came to a stop and were found to have sustained disabling damage. No injuries were reported, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.

GREENE TOWNSHIP— On December 20, 2024, a crash occurred when an unnamed driver hit a patch of ice, causing their 2012 Chevrolet Equinox to veer out of its lane and cross the white fog line, striking an embankment with its front right side. The vehicle then rode along the embankment for about 15 feet before overturning onto the driver’s side and coming to a stop facing northwest. The crash resulted in disabling damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and all occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.

PORTER TOWNSHIP— On December 20, 2024, Benjamin Stoltzfus Jr., 49, from Lamar, was involved in a single-vehicle crash while driving east on Fox Hollow Road. The accident occurred as he negotiated a left curve on the roadway, which was slippery due to snow and ice. Traveling at approximately 25 mph, Stoltzfus lost traction and slid into several small trees on the right side of the road. His 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was disabled in the crash and had to be towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On December 15, 2024, a crash occurred involving Troy Shifflett, 41, from Williamsport, and Sara Neese, 58, from Mill Hall. Shifflett was driving north on Nittany Valley Drive while Neese was heading south. Shifflett lost control of his vehicle, causing it to slide sideways into the oncoming lane, where it collided with the passenger side of Neese’s 2003 Honda CRV. The impact caused Neese’s vehicle to spin clockwise and veer off the north side of the road into a ditch. Shifflett’s vehicle came to a stop facing east, while Neese’s vehicle ended up in the right lane facing south. Both vehicles were disabled due to the crash, and both drivers sustained minor injuries.
Child Custody Order Violation
CHAPMAN TOWNSHIP— On December 15, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to a child custody dispute where the father did not return the child to the mother as required by the court order. After investigating the matter, State Police concluded that no criminal violation had taken place.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On December 14, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to Walmart in Mill Hall for a report of under-ringing retail items. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Tracey Hill, 50, of Lock Haven, had four prior convictions of retail theft. She was taken into custody and transported to the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
Motor Vehicle Accident
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On December 11, 2024, at 2:00 a.m., a crash occurred on I-80 West near mile marker 185. Leshawn Carpenter II, 52, from Darby, PA, lost control of the 2024 Freightliner Cascadia he was driving, causing it to veer left into the left lane. The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a raised median, and continued west for approximately 80 yards before overturning onto the median, where it came to a final stop. Carpenter sustained minor injuries, and the Freightliner sustained disabling damage.
Theft/Disposition of Funds
PORTER TOWNSHIP—On December 10, 2024, PSP Lamar responded to Nittany Valley Drive for a report of theft. Through investigation, it was determined that a 39-year-old male victim of Bellefonte utilized an ATM and believed his information was compromised, resulting in the loss of $416.00 by an unknown suspect. This investigation is ongoing.
Drug Possession
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On November 28, 2024, at 8:52 p.m., Trooper Hall conducted a routine traffic stop on a 2021 Chevrolet after observing traffic violations. During the stop, marijuana was observed inside the vehicle, which was driven by a 44-year-old male from Youngstown, OH. Charges were filed through District Court 25-3-02.
Commercial Burglary
RENOVO— PSP Lamar investigated four burglaries that occurred at 38 Industrial Park Road sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 4:47 a.m. on November 26, 2924. After investigation, Troopers arrested and charged Daniel Dietz, 46, of Altoona, and James Sampson, 38, of Renovo, with burglary and related theft offenses. In total, the accused stole over $26,228 worth of property.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On November 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., PSP Lamar responded to a report of a retail theft at Lowe’s in Mill Hall. A felony arrest warrant was obtained for Jacob Allison, 35, of Jersey Shore, and he was taken to the Clinton County Correctional Facility based on the warrant.
Drug Possession
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On November 22, 2024, PSP Lamar Trooper Hall conducted a routine traffic stop on a 2024 Jeep driven by a 25-year-old male from Warren, MI, after observing traffic violations. During the traffic stop, numerous indications of criminal activity were observed. A consented search yielded 14 packages of suspected marijuana, according to the report, and charges have been filed through District Court 25-3-02.
Statutory Rape/Sexual Assault
RENOVO— On November 17, 2024, at approximately 4:56 p.m., a report of a sexual assault involving a minor was made to PSP Lamar. The investigation is ongoing.
Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On November 14, 2024, at approximately 3:28 p.m., Adryan Selleck, M, 27, of Lock Haven, used the self-checkout at Walmart in Mill Hall to under-ring multiple food items totaling $35.06. Selleck was subsequently arrested for retail theft through District Court 25-3-02, according to the police report.
Found Property
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On November 14, 2024, at approximately 1:53 p.m., a lost wallet was found in the area of the Flying J located at 5609 Nittany Valley Drive in Lamar. The owner was identified, and the wallet was returned.
Criminal Trespass
RENOVO BOROUGH— On November 8, 2024, at approximately 7:10 p.m., Brian Bower, 43, of Renovo, went into the residence at 330 Huron Avenue and assaulted David Bartles, 52, of Renovo, and Mark Hatterer, 60, of North Bend. Bower was subsequently arrested for Defiant Trespassing and two counts of Harassment through District Court 25-3-03.
Harassment w/Physical Contact
RENOVO BOROUGH— On November 8, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., a physical altercation was reported near the residence of 2225 Schuylkill Avenue. Upon investigation, it was learned that the altercation involved Daniel Hyser, 37, of Renovo, and a 14-year-old juvenile. Both have been arrested for harassment through District Court 25-3-03.
Theft
FLEMINGTON— Sometime between November 5 and November 6, 2024, Zachary Laubscher, 32, of Lock Haven, came onto the property of 119 Frederick Street and stole a Trump/Vance “Make America Great Again” political sign valued at $45.00. Laubscher was arrested due to the incident and charges were filed through District Court 25-3-01.
Theft
