Thompson Sworn in for 119th Congress

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Friday , U.S. Representative Glenn “GT” Thompson (PA-15) was sworn in as the United States Representative of Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District for the 119th Congress. Rep. Thompson was joined by his wife, Penny, as well as friends and supporters.

“Serving as the voice for Pennsylvania’s 15th District in the United States House of Representatives is truly an honor,” Rep. Thompson said. “I look forward to continue my role as Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture and as a senior member of the House Committee on Education & Workforce. These positions allow me to better promote policies that will support a robust, rural economy.”

“I extend my congratulations and gratitude to Speaker Johnson for his continued leadership and warmly welcome Senator Dave McCormick, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, and Congressman Robert Bresnahan to the Pennsylvania delegation.”

Rep. Thompson, the longest serving member, or dean, of the Pennsylvania delegation, will also be the co-chair of the bipartisan House Career and Technical Education Caucus, the German-American Caucus, the National Heritage Area Caucus, the Service Organization Caucus, and the Congressional Scouting Caucus.
