Lady Wildcats Dominate Danville in PHAC Division I Opener
MILL HALL-The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats opened their PHAC Division I schedule with an impressive showing on Friday night, hosting the Danville Lady Ironmen. Utilizing aggressive defensive pressure, the Lady Wildcats stifled Danville’s offense throughout the contest, setting the tone for a dominant performance.
Central Mountain jumped out to a commanding start, quickly building an early lead. By halftime, the Lady Wildcats had established a 26-10 advantage, capitalizing on turnovers and controlling the pace of play.
The second half brought more of the same, as the Lady Wildcats maintained their intensity on both ends of the court. Central Mountain continued to apply relentless defensive pressure, limiting Danville’s scoring opportunities and extending their lead.
Taylor Doyle led the charge for the Wildcats, scoring a game-high 19 points. Camdyn Weaver followed with 15 points, while Lena Walker added 9 to round out the team’s top scorers. Ava Doyle contributed 5 points to the effort, while Elise McKean chipped in with 1 and Macy Plowman 3 points.
When the final buzzer sounded, Central Mountain had secured a convincing 52-24 victory to improve to 1-0 in divisional play.
The Lady Wildcats will next be in action on Tuesday when they travel to Jersey Shore.
