LOCK HAVEN- The Clinton County Department of Emergency Services has introduced PulsePoint, a revolutionary app designed to connect residents with nearby emergencies. This life-saving tool aims to significantly improve the county’s emergency response capabilities by providing real-time alerts and information.
PulsePoint offers several critical features, including CPR alerts, AED locations, and a live incident feed that keeps users updated on emergency calls in real time. These functionalities empower residents to act swiftly and provide immediate assistance during cardiac emergencies, potentially saving lives before professional responders arrive.
Residents can easily download PulsePoint for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once installed, users should enable notifications and select “Clinton County, PA” as their location to receive relevant alerts.
Jon Plessinger, the Director of the Clinton County Department of Emergency Services, emphasized the app’s importance, stating, “The PulsePoint app is an invaluable tool that puts lifesaving power directly into the hands of our residents. By alerting trained individuals to nearby cardiac emergencies in public places, it dramatically increases the likelihood of someone stepping in to provide CPR or use an AED before emergency responders arrive. This initiative, made possible by generous donations, is more than just an app—it’s a community effort to save lives and build a safer, more prepared Clinton County.”
The launch of PulsePoint in Clinton County represents a significant step forward in community safety and preparedness, showcasing the power of technology and community collaboration in saving lives.
