LOCK HAVEN – They’re here! Hundreds of boaters from all across the United States and even some from Canada are now camped in the vicinity of the boat launch area on the Woodward Township side of the Susquehanna River.

Some came as early as Tuesday of this week and it has been a steady stream of boaters, family members, boats, recreational vehicles and even some pets…all arriving in anticipation of the  Jaycees Labor Day Regatta, a Lock Haven tradition for 49 years. .

The boaters spent Friday getting acclimated to the course, first racing kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. The racing will continue for three days, nonstop. The North American championship for C stock runabouts will be at Lock Haven this year. The Dash for Cash held Sunday always brings a large number of C Stock hydros.
