LHU Announces the 2014 Academic Promotions
LOCK HAVEN – Twelve members of the Lock Haven University faculty have been promoted for the 2014-2015 academic year. The promotions were made after a lengthy evaluation process and were conducted in compliance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and the LHU promotion policy.
There are four faculty academic ranks at LHU: instructor, assistant professor, associate professor and full professor. Each rank is carefully defined and appointment or promotion is based on the faculty member’s credentials, professional expertise, and contribution to the university’s mission. Criteria for promotion are increasingly rigorous.
Lock Haven University President Michael Fiorentino Jr. said, “On behalf of the entire Lock Haven University community, I want to congratulate all those who were recently promoted and extend best wishes for continued success. We have high quality faculty who prepare our students to unlock their professional passions upon graduation from Lock Haven University and prepare them for their career endeavors.”
The following faculty members were promoted to full professor Dr. Nicole Burkholder-Mosco, Dr. Elizabeth Gruber, Dr. Richard Lally, Dr. Elizabeth Manlove, Dr. Frederick Schulze, and Dr. Gregory Walker. The faculty members promoted to associate professor status is Dr. Edward Bowman, Dr. Greg Koehle, Dr. Priya Poehner, Dr. Steven Seiler, and Dr. Indrajith Senevirathne and Dr. Julie Story was promoted to assistant professor.
