BEN Kiwanis to Hold Annual Kids’ Day

MILL HALL — The Bald Eagle and Nittany Valleys Kiwanis Club is getting ready for its annual Kid’s Day event at the Mill Hall Fire Hall. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, July 19 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. Each child who attends will receive a free book of their choice, chances to win a variety of age-appropriate prizes, as well as opportunities to play old-fashioned carnival games.

Also on hand will be over 20 local and state agencies and organizations to showcase a variety of services offered to kids and families within the community; Mill Hall Police Department will provide fingerprinting, there will be dental and vision checks available, local environmental education groups, In your Shoes, and much more being added daily.

The event will conclude with the annual Ping Pong Ball Race. Chances may be purchased for $1.00. Over 1,200 ping pong balls will be dumped into Fishing Creek and will float to the Peale Avenue Bridge, where the first, second, and third ball to cross the line will win a cash prize.
