BAER PLEADS GUILTY TO 10 COUNTS OF STATUTORY SEXUAL ASSAULT
LOCK HAVEN – Demario Baer, 19, Lock Haven, entered guilty pleas to 10 counts of Statutory Sexual Assault late last week in the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas. Baer entered the pleas before Judge Michael F. Salisbury. Baer was charged on January 9th of this year by Detective Rich Simpson of the Lock Haven City Police Police, Police discovered evidence of Baer’s alleged sex crimes involving a 14 year old victim while police were conducting an investigation allegedly involving Baer and a January 4th, 2024 incident that resulted in the emergency lockdown of all students and faculty at Robb Elementary School and a massive law enforcement response to the school.
On January 4, 2024, Baer was arrested by Lock Haven City Police on charges of Terroristic Threats, Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Possessing Instruments of Crime, after allegedly brandishing a firearm outside of Robb Elementary School. Baer remains incarcerated on both of his cases in lieu of $240,000 bail. He still faces trial in the terroristic threats case and is scheduled to select a jury in July. He will be sentenced on the sex offenses in August following a presentence investigation by Clinton County Adult Probation.
