Bucks fall to Muncy, 62-52

MUNCY – Bucktail travelled down river to face the rival Indians in their first conference game of the season. Muncy prevailed over the Bucks 70-38.

Bucktail kept pace with muncy in the early going only trailing 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, then the Indians increased the pressure in the second period, outpacing the Bucks, 18-7 for a 30-15 halftime lead.

Then Muncy raised the sakes pounding on their guests, 26-5 in the third quarter to extend the lead to 56-20 heading into the final period.

Bucktail would finally find their range and were able to get the offense going, edging Muncy 18-14 in the final stanza, though it wasn’t enough to erase the deficit with Muncy earning the 70-38 win.

Zachary Pick and Alec Intallura had 7 points each for Bucktail with Gavin Becker adding 6 and Richard Perry 5. Liam Dwyer and Devin Serafini had 4 points each with Anthony Pentz contributing 3 points and Ty Snyder for 2.

The loss takes Bucktail to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

Bucktail will next host Millville on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 in Farwell.
