Dean L. Bowman, Sr. – Obituary
Dean L. Bowman, Sr., 79, of Mill Hall, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Williamsport Hospital.
He was born on June 23, 1934, the son of the late George and Ruth Bowman.
Dean was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners Union of America, helping build many structures throughout Pennsylvania.
Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a true passion for woodworking, building many beautiful items for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Pat; two sons, Dean (Cathy) Bowman of Mill Hall and Steve (Linda) Bowman of Chicago, IL; a daughter, Wanda of Chicago, IL; a step-son, Jim (Anne) Brown of Beech Creek; two step-daughters, Sandy (Charlie) Dotterer of Mill Hall and Penny (Rick) Zener of Blanchard; two sisters, Helen Munro of Salona and Belva Zell of Lock Haven; 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Nancy Jodun; a sister, Mary Allison; and two brothers, Bob and Fred.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 12 noon at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
