Knauff Seeks Re-election to School Board
RENOVO – James “Butch” Knauff is seeking re-election to the position of school board director representing Keystone Central School District Region IX. KCSD Region IX consists of: Chapman Township, East Keating Township, Gallagher Township, Grugan Township, Leidy Township, Noyes Township, Renovo Borough, South Renovo Borough, Stewardson Township (Potter Co).
A registered Democrat, he has cross-filed to also seek the Republican Party nomination.
Butch has been a KCSD board member since 2008, the last two years serving as board president. He has attended numerous seminars, conferences and trainings through the Pennsylvania School Board Association to better prepare himself to serve on the KCSD board. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Central Intermediate Unit 10.
Butch is a lifelong resident of Western Clinton County and Bucktail High School graduate. Butch is both a USAF and Pennsylvania Air National Guard veteran and is retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
Butch has volunteered to serve his community his entire life. He is a life member of the Citizens Hose Company of South Renovo and a past member of FAST Ambulance Company. He has been actively involved with youth athletics as a longtime coach, board member and past president of Renovo Little League, coach and director of the Renovo Midget League and Elementary Basketball programs. He is also a DCNR ATV Safety Instructor and Pennsylvania Game Commission Hunter Safety Instructor.
Butch and his wife Anna have been married for 40 years and have two daughters Marissa a teacher in New Jersey and Jessica an administrative assistant. Their grandson Joshua is a freshman at Lock Haven University.
