Von Walker Recognized for His Contributions in Representing His Community (Video Report)
LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County community will honored Penn State football player and local product Von Walker at an appreciation luncheon organized by the Clinton County Economic Partnership at the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center on the campus of Lock Haven University.
Walker is entering his senior season on the PSU campus. He began as a “run-on” for the team and has played running back and linebacker in his career and has been a special teams standout. He has been a captain of the team, and is part of the Leadership Council. Prior to going to Penn State, Walker was a three-sport standout athlete at Central Mountain High School.
Walker and his family were praised for his efforts both on and off the field that reflect positively on his friends, family and community all across Clinton County.
Walker received accolades, proclamations and plaques from State Rep. Mike Hanna, Sate Sen. Joseph Scarnati and the Clinton County Commissioners. Walker also was praised by current Central Mountain High School principal, Steve Turchetta who coached Walker for two season with the Wildcats. Director of Player Development & Community Relations, P.J. Mullens shared comments on how Walker’s hard work and commitment with the Nittany Lions has caught the attention of his coaching staff and teammates alike.
