Ida M. Dremel – Obituary

Ida M. Dremel, 85, a resident at the Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo, PA died Jan. 31, 2016 at the Medical Center.

Born May 10, 1930 in Renovo, PA she was the daughter of the late Nels  and Florence “Babe” Rathmell Ekdahl. She was married to Ludwig Felix Dremel who preceded her in death.

Ida was a graduate of the former Renovo High School,had worked in the cafeteria at the Altoona High School and also at Paul’s Market in Juniata, PA.  Ida was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Renovo, PA. Welca, and the Red Hats.

She is survived by one son, Kevin Dremel and Beth Durant, Keene, NH, one daughter, Mary Kay Dremel-Farley and Bob Farley, Lock Haven, Pa, one sister, Judy Thomas, four grandchildren: Jared and Emmy (Borst) Conti; J.C. And Robyn Sage (Chapin) Conti; Brian and Carley (Conti) Hanna and Kiah Dremel  and Ali Teymourian, six great-grandchildren: Harrison Dale Conti; Adelaide McKenzie, Juniper Luna and Penelope Haven Conti;   Josephine Sierra Hannah and Orion Homa Teymourian.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sonny  and Charles “Budd” Ekdahl, three sisters,    Glennaire Leonard, Mary Ebba Heffner and Shirley Rosamilia.

A Funeral service honoring the memory of Ida M. Dremel were held Wed., Feb. 3, 2016 at 11 A.M. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Renovo, PA

with her pastor, Pastor John Harwood officiating. Interment, St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Hyner, PA. Friends were received in the church from 10 A.M. until time of services. Reception followed. Friends were asked to wear purple, her favorite color, to the ceremony.
