Gould Signs Record Contract

CHICAGO – Robbie Gould has agreed to a contract extension with the Chicago Bears, one that will make him the richest in NFL kicking history.

The Bears and Gould announced the four-year extension on Friday of last week. Reports say it will amount to $15 million with $9 million of that money guaranteed.

The Central Mountain and Penn State grad is in the eighth season of his NFL career. He is already the most accurate kicked in Bear franchise history and its number three in NFL history with his 86 percent completion rate.

At a press conference announcing the new contract, Gould said, “Honestly, I could not see myself playing in another jersey. I’d just look funny in a different color.”
