Paul M. Walison – Obituary
Paul M. Walison, 67, of River St., Lock Haven passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his home.
Born on August 19, 1948 in Biddeford, Maine, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Catherine Ruch Walison.
Paul was a 1966 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and a 1970 graduate of Lock Haven State College.
He was the advertising manager of the Lock Haven Express prior to opening and running the Walison All State Insurance Agency.
On June 10, 1995 he married the former Sherri Decker who survives.
Paul was an active member and participant of the East Main Street United Methodist Church.
He was Past President of the Millbrook Playhouse. Paul also served on the Lock Haven University Alumni Association, was a trustee with the Lock Haven Elks, volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 46, and was a member of the Board of Directors of M&T Bank.
Paul held his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. He was also an avid reader.
Paul loved to take his son, Morgan, fishing and never missed the first day of trout season.
In addition to his wife, Sherri, he is survived by a son, Morgan J. Walison of Lock Haven; two daughters, Chrissi M. (Tom) Mueller of Pittsburgh and Erica L. (Ian) Warner of Mill Hall; and three grandchildren: Cole and Aiden Mueller and Ainsley McCloskey.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at the East Main Street United Methodist Church, 507 E. Main St., Lock Haven with the Rev. Bruce Wallace officiating. An Elk’s Service will begin at 6:30 P.M. with the Memorial Service following.
Friends and family will be received at the church on Friday from 5:30 until 6:30 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Faith Church- United Methodist or Millbrook Playhouse through the funeral home.
