LOCK HAVEN – City police are investigating a shooting that occurred along an alley near 112 West Park Street. The incident occurred around noon, Friday.

Lock Haven Police Chief, Keith Kibler had little to share concerning the incident.He said the victim was flown via Life-Flight to Geisinger Medical center in Danville following the incident. There is currently no word on the victims condition.

City Hall was busy this afternoon, police interviewing as many as three possible suspects that may have knowledge of the incident.

Kibler shared that a vehicle was involved and the victim was outside that vehicle walking at the time of the shooting.

There was an unconfirmed report three people are being questioned by police at the McElhattan exit of Rt. 220 following the incident.

Police did indicate that more information on the incident would be available later today.

** UPDATE 10:15 p.m. 12/27/13 **

By late evening on Friday, the Record has been able to confirm though social media the victim of the shooting to be James Davis, 27, of Lock Haven, a 2004 graduate of Central Mountain High School. A spokeswoman confirmed that Davis is a patient at Geisinger Medical Center and is in “fair” condition.

While no formal incident report has been issued, as of 10 p.m. Friday evening. City officers did confirm that officers from the department were in Danville speaking with the victim and that two persons of interest were detained and remanded to the Clinton County Correctional Facility pending further investigation of the incident.
