Presented in memory of Jennifer, by her parents, sister, brother and nieces. This award goes to a member of the graduating class who is involved with community service.

Given by The Class of 1977 and Mrs. Mary Tripp in memory of Brent. This is presented to a member of the graduating class whose average is 92% or above and who is cooperative, courteous, and active in sports or extra curricular activities.

Presented to the graduate who has shown the greatest improvement during their senior year at Bucktail.

The Renovo Son’s and Daughter’s of Italy #149 Memorial Award: $1000.00

This memorial award is dedicated to all deceased members of the lodge. This award is presented from the Son’s and Daughter’s of Italy to two seniors who will be attending college, and had outstanding achievement in athletics. In football, with 1000+ yards in rushing, this award is presented to Aaron Ransdorf. In basketball, with 2000+ career points, is Maria Morgan.

The Karen Dwyer Jones Memorial Award: $100.00

Presented in her memory by Darcie Schaffer. Karen was a graduate of Bucktail Area High School, Geisinger School of Nursing and Penn State University. She was employed as a clinical research manager in the Heart and Vascular Department of Hershey Medical Center. This is given to a student who is pursuing a career in the health field.

The Chris Johnson Memorial Award: $1,027.00

Sponsored by family and friends, in loving memory of Chris, a 1986 graduate from Bucktail Area High School, who died during active duty. Presented to a senior boy or girl who has lettered in three varsity sports. The recipient must have a 3.0 grade point average and be cooperative and coachable. The award will go directly to the institution of higher learning.

Presented by the math department to the student who has demonstrated a profound interest in mathematics.

Presented to a boy and a girl and is sponsored by Mrs. McKeague, a former Renovo Elementary Teacher who taught for many years in the Renovo Area, this award is given to a student who has shown dedication to academics through hard work and perseverance at a post secondary school.

Presented in memory of John, a former security guard at Bucktail Middle/Senior High School. The recipient is a senior who has shown achievement and dedication to Bucktail’s athletic program or is interested in a career in law enforcement.

The Barry Weaver Memorial Award: $50.00

Presented in memory of Barry who was instrumental in establishing the engineering/construction pathway at Bucktail Area High School. This is given to an outstanding vocational student who is pursuing a post-secondary education.

Renovo Rotary Club 2015 Senior Interact Student Award: $50.00

Presented in recognition of scholastic achievements at Bucktail Area High School and active participation in the Rotary Interact Club.

Presented in memory of Richard. This is given to a graduating senior who will be pursuing a career in law enforcement or the law.

Presented in her memory to the senior student who demonstrates strong faith, is a hard worker, is optimistic in spite of hardship and sees the good in others.

The Anthony Ryan Getz Memorial Award: $150.00

Presented and sponsored by the Class of 2005 in loving memory of Tony. This award is given to a graduating senior who has played in two sports for two years. This senior must be passing all classes and must demonstrate good sportsmanship.

Presented by Ronnie and Susan Ransdorf in memory of their sister Diane; who was a member of the Bucktail Class of 1973 and was a past member and president of the Bucktail Booster Club. Diane was an avid sports fan. This award is presented to a senior athlete who constantly gave 100%.

This scholarship is presented to a student who has been accepted and/or enrolled at an institution for post-secondary education in a healthcare program. Chosen by Bucktail faculty, the recipient of this award is based upon the student who has shown the most academic improvement.

Community Service Award: $50.00

This award is voted on by the senior class who, in their opinion, has the best senior project.

Maggie Clemente Award: $25.00

Presented in memory of Maggie, a former student, the recipient is a senior most helpful to others, plans to attend college and will continue to pay a kindness forward to others in need.

Mrs. Deborah Crighton Memorial Scholarship $50.00

This scholarship is presented by Derek Tripp and Patrick Smith in her memory. Mrs. Crighton was a French teacher at Bucktail and was dedicated to
this school and showed compassion for all students. This award goes out to a boy or girl who is compassionate, devoted, and always willing to give someone a helping hand. Awarded to: Alaina Tripp

This scholarship is given to a boy or girl who shows excellence in Applied Science & Technology.

Presented to the senior nominated by teachers and voted on by senior classmates to be this year’s DAR good citizen.

Harold Ransom Award: $50.00

Presented in recognition of Mr. Ransom, a long time supporter of Bucktail Student Athletes. Given to the student athlete who has displayed sportsmanship and character while at the same time achieving a very high level of competitive play. Awarded to: His great grand-daughter: Abagail Ransom

Cindy Pompili Memorial Award: $100.00 each

Presented by her family in memory of Cindy. Awarded to a senior boy or girl graduating from Bucktail Area High School who exhibits School Sprit and /or is actively involved in the community and is well respected by students and faculty members.

Presented to a senior pursuing a degree in education.

Maggie Clemente Award: $725.00

Presented to the student with a big heart who goes above and beyond to be a protector, friend to those in need, and also plans on furthering their education. We want to keep the memory of Maggie alive with this award. Presented by the Clemente and Kisko families.

Ashten K. Werts – Strouse Memorial Award: $75.00

Presented by her family in memory of Ashten, a member of the Bucktail Class of 2008. This is awarded to a student who has a special talent and appreciation in a field of the arts.

Western Clinton County Endless Mountain Association Grant: $300 each

Presented to the graduating senior that shows academic excellence and will be attending college majoring in forestry or environmental science and graphic arts.

Red Cross Scholarship: $450.00 each

Presented to those seniors who are in the Interact Club and have donated to at least four blood drives over the course of their high school careers. This award will go directly to the institute of higher education.

American Legion Post #442 – Francis B. Riley Scholarship: $1000.00 each
