Foundation Grant Supports Nonprofit Dental Clinic
LOCK HAVEN – The Clinton County Healthy Communities’ Dental Clinic recently received some critical pieces of equipment, thanks to a grant from the Clinton County Community Foundation. The Foundation awarded the nonprofit clinic an $8,000 competitive grant to purchase new X-ray sensors. The clinic’s existing sensors were 12 years old. Hygienist Shelby Rice, RDH, PDHNP, said the digital sensors help to detect cavities and use the latest technology. The clinic at 266 Hogan Boulevard, Suite 6, continues to provide basic dental care for clients who have government-sponsored or subsidized dental insurance and self-pay. Opened in late 2009, the clinic’s patient load continues to grow.
