RENOVO – The Friends of the Renovo Library recently received what will amount to a very impactful memorial donation when Tawnya Redos presented a memorial contribution in the name of her son, Shawn Lovett.
Tawnya explained to the ‘Friends’ that it was her son’s love of reading that gave her the idea to support the local library in such a meaningful way. The donation is among the highest that the non-profit group has received.
“We are so honored at the Friends of The Renovo Library to have received such a generous Memorial Donation for her son Shawn Lovett, in the amount of $1,000.00 from Tawnya” said Friends president Brandy Griffiths. ”We are proud to offer Tawnya a lifetime membership to the Friends of the Renovo Library.”
“These donations mean so much to us because it makes it possible for the Renovo Library to provide valuable programs for our community. All donations stay in Renovo and are used for the library.” Griffiths added.
The volunteer group’s efforts have helped to make massive improvements to the Renovo Public Library and would love to welcome new members.
“We meet the 2nd Wednesday every Month at 6 p.m. at the library, meetings are open to the public you do not have to be a member to attend” Griffiths explained. “We are always looking for new faces with new ideas to help make things happen at the library. We look forward to new programs and events happening at our library from the generosity and support of the community.”
