KUNES WINS FIRST MATCH AT BOYS STATE AAA TOURNAMENT

HERSHEY – Central Mountain Wildcat sophomore Aiden Kunes (37-10) won his pigtail round bout and advanced into the round of 16 at the PIAA Class AAA State Wrestling Championships at the Hershey Giant Center. 

Kunes scored the matches only takedown to come away with a 3-0 decision over Northeast fourth palace finisher Noah Fenner (30-10) of Easton to advance to the Round of 16, where he will face Southeast regional champion Quinn McBride (29-7) of Pennridge’ 

Both Kunes and Wildcats senior Dalton Perry (145) will be wrestling in the Championship Round of 16, which will be wrestled right after the preliminaries round and will try to advance to the championship quarterfinals.
