Sheasley Receives Special “One-Time Award” at Republican Lincoln Day Dinner

By Christopher Miller

FLEMINGTON – County Republican Chairman Kurt Smith presented a very special “One-Time Award” to Matt Sheasley during the Lincoln Day Dinner Saturday night at the Red Eye Center in Flemington.

“It was the day before the election and President Trump was in Reading, of all places, so GT Thompson got a few of us into the VIP section to see him at the rally,” Smith said. “He seemed real, genuine, and about my height. We talked and he was listening and asking questions. I took a souvenir with me to the rally and would like to present it to Matt Sheasley.”

A humbled Matt Sheasley read the gift, a red Make America Great Again hat, autographed by President Trump.

“To Matt – Thanks, Donald Trump.”

Also walking away with the Sharpee, Smith presented it to Matt, emblazoned with The White House, Donald Trump, on the pen.

“First and foremost I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Matt said. “I want to thank Kurt and Bill Stankiewicz as I thanked them quite a bit, I got about 203 people registered to vote. I was sitting on the recliner, watching the country going down the drain, and that is what motivated me to get people registered, to get common sense back into the office of the President.”

“That’s a Made in America hat, too,” Kurt said. “My wife and I had to sit on this surprise since November.”
