Lock Haven City Police News Release February 1, 2025
Incidents:
Crash – On January 11, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on Bellefonte Avenue at McDonald’s. The first vehicle was pulling out of the McDonald’s parking lot and attempting to make a left turn onto Bellefonte Avenue, when it was struck by the second vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Bellefonte Avenue. The second vehicle had to be towed from the scene, and the driver was taken to the emergency room.
Crash – On January 17, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Bellefonte Avenue and Second Avenue. The first vehicle was heading west on Bellefonte Avenue and did not notice the red light because of the sun’s glare, leading to a collision with a second vehicle, which was turning onto Bellefonte Avenue from Second Avenue. Both vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene.
Crash – On January 20, 2025, at about 2:15 p.m., a two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of E. Main Street and N. Grove Street. The first vehicle attempted to make a left turn from the right-hand lane and struck the second vehicle, which was in the left-hand lane. The second vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
Crash – On January 25, 2025, at around 5:00 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on W. Water Street at Cass Alley. The first vehicle was traveling east on W. Water Street when it collided with the second vehicle, which was attempting to make a wide right turn onto Second Street.
Offenses Charged:
Tyreke Newkirk, 22, Lock Haven, was arrested for Corruption of Minors. Between July 5, 2024, and October 18, 2024, Newkirk engaged in numerous sexual acts with a 15-year-old female juvenile.
Emmy Lawson Melendez, 20, Lock Haven, was arrested for Theft and Criminal Mischief. Between September 21, 2024, and December 6, 2024, Melendez hit a coin pusher game at 120 E. Walnut Street, causing coins to fall out and also causing damage to the machine.
Casey Woods, 38, Lock Haven, was arrested for DUI. On December 21, 2024, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Woods was driving her vehicle on W. Walnut Street and fell asleep at the wheel while she was stopped at Second Avenue. Woods was at the stop sign for approximately a half hour and was found to be under the influence of multiple controlled substances.
Destini Geraty-Neff, 39, Lock Haven, was arrested for Retail Theft. On January 10, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Geraty-Neff was at the Dollar General, 16 E. Main Street, took an item that was for sale, placed it in her pocket, and left the store without paying for it.
Dalon Ward, 33, Lock Haven, was cited with Public Drunkenness. On January 17, 2025, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Ward was intoxicated and passed out in the lobby of Dominos Pizza, 203 N. Jay Street.
Dalon Ward, 33, Lock Haven, was arrested for a PFA violation. On January 24, 2025, Ward went up to a vehicle owned by a protected party of a PFA against Ward. Ward cut the tires of the vehicle while the protected party was inside the vehicle. When that individual exited the vehicle, Ward showed him the knife and walked away.
Paul Mills Jr, 41, Beech Creek, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. On January 25, 2025, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Mills was taken into custody on a warrant while at the Lucky 7 Travel Plaza, 360 E. Walnut Street.
