LHU Men’s Indoor Track & Field returns to action with busy Saturday

SUSQUEHANNA – The Lock Haven men’s indoor track & field team returned to action after the holiday break by competing in the River Hawk Invite and Nittany Lion Open on Saturday (Jan. 18).

Leading the way for The Haven in the field was Eric Zalar at the River Hawk Invite in the weight throw, where he placed first with a throw of 52-11.5 which bested his throw in his last time out. Zalar also hit another PSAC qualifying mark.

Also, in the field at the River Hawk Invite, Nathan Fetchkan secured another podium spot for The Haven where he placed second with a throw of 44-05.5.

On the track at the River Hawk Invite the team of Rocky Romani, Sage Carr, Lukas Epitopakis and Cam Lewis placed second with a time of 3:39.91.

At the Nittany Lion Open, Jakob Rager hit a time of 8:48.61 giving him a PSAC qualifying mark in the 3000-meter.

Gavin Furey ran well in the 800-meter with a time of 1:57.12.

Next Up for The Haven:

The Bald Eagles return to action on Friday, Jan. 24 when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. (The Ott Center) to compete in the Winter Evening Invite at the University of Pennsylvania.
