Letter to the Editor

Editor:
I wanted to let people know that our local stream, Fishing Creek at the mouth of Cedar Run to/though Mill Hall to the Handicap peer, will NOT be stocked AGAIN for youth mentor day on March 30th. Fishing Creek is to be stocked on April 1st. WHY?.. This is not an April fools joke either! We the public are the fools!

While other streams throughout the state are stocked early, our area Fishery Manager doesn’t want any of the local streams stocked 2 week prior to opening day. He is not for us (the people) and I want people to know. The only local streams being stocked anywhere around us are Little Fishing Creek in Hublersburg (Centre County) and Marsh Creek in Blanchard (Centre County). What a shame for the future generation of trout fisherman!
