Pierce Long uses senior project to benefit Piper Aviation Museum
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Pierce Long, a senior at Central Mountain High School recently presented a check for $1,663 to the directors of the Piper Aviation Museum. His senior class project was to raise funds for the Piper Aviation Museum in Lock Haven and for Luke’s Wings, which is an organization providing flights for loved ones and families of wounded service members during hospital recovery and rehabilitation.
Pierce attended a recent museum board meeting where the museum directors had a chance to personally thank him for his hard work and successful class project. Pierce raised a total of $3,326.00. He presented half ($1,663) to each organization.
Pierce is the son of Monica and Mark Long of Mill Hall, After completing his senior year at Central Mountain High School he plans to attend Liberty University School of Aeronautics in Lynchburg, Virginia. Pierce has begun flight lessons and has already soloed in a Piper Cherokee.
