Full summer of events slated for Renovo area

RENOVO, PA – A summer of concerts, heritage, a movie night, poker float, and local talent. This is the summer in store for those visiting and living in the Renovo area this year, and it all kicks off on June 24.

“There’s something planned for almost every weekend in Renovo from now through mid-October,” said Mary George Rhone, President of The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park.

“We really want to get the community involved and have activities for the people that live here and those that are visiting.”

2023 is no exception to the slate of events planned for what has been dubbed “Heritage Park Summer 2023.”
Though the summer concerts officially kicked off two Sundays ago, the rest of the calendar has been nearly finalized.

New for this year is the Talent Show featuring Elementary and High School students from the Renovo area.
“We really want to get them involved, engage them, and to get out of their comfort zone, have some fun, and display a hidden talent,” Rhone said. “We just want them to have fun with it.”

The calendar, below, is still awaiting confirmation for a concert slated for October 21, and the field conditions for the Old Timer’s Softball Tournament in September.

All concerts will be held at “the lot” at Renovo Heritage Park headquarters office at 530 Erie Avenue unless designated otherwise. Concerts are scheduled to be held on Sundays from 4 to 7 PM.

•June 24 – Heritage Festival, music with Kelley’s & Friends

•June 23-24 – Bands in the Bend (fundraiser for Heritage Park) at Good Neighbor Craft House

•July 15 – Movie Night (sponsored by Clinton County Community Foundation & Renovo Heritage Park)

•July 22 – Poker Float, beginning at 5th Street Boat Launch to Hyner

•July 23 – Concert: Mix Tape with Shane Jones

•July 27 – Annual Dinner @ Good Neighbor Craft House (for Renovo Heritage Park Members and invited guests, $30/person, guest speaker: Rev. Dutch Rinker)

•July 30 – Concert: SGT Bob

•August 20 – Talent Show with monetary prizes, Elementary and High School students from Renovo area

•August 26 – Budstock (Renovo Heritage Park will have a booth here)

• August 5 – Teen Murder Mystery

•August 27 – Concert: Private Stock Trio at Citizen’s Hose in South Renovo

•September 9 – ATV RIde @ Whiskey Springs (registration required)

•September 10 – Concert: Top Shelf

•October 14 – Concert: Classic Rock Revival (Flaming Foliage Festival weekend)
