County Solid Waste Authority again accepting glass, adding batteries to recycling list
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will again accept glass bottles and jars, per announcement on Thursday; additionally the authority will now be accepting rechargeable and single-use batteries. The Authority circulated news releases on the recycling word and Clinton County Commissioner Angela Harding lauded the announcement at the county commissioners meeting Thursday. She noted it had been “quite some time” since the glass recycling effort had ended in the county.

GLASS BOTTLE & JAR RECYCLING The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority is now accepting glass bottles and jars at the Authority’s recycling center located on 337 Pine Mountain Road, just past the Restless Oaks Restaurant, in Wayne Township. Glass bottles and jars can be dropped during our normal business hours, Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 12 Noon. Look for the container labeled for Glass Bottles and Jars only. No Glassware, Ceramics, Window Glass, Light Bulbs, Windshields, Pyrex, or similar items will be accepted
RESIDENTIAL BATTERY RECYCLING PROGRAM The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority is now accepting rechargeable and single-use batteries, in addition to lead-acid vehicle batteries, at the Authority’s recycling center located on 337 Pine Mountain Road, just past the Restless Oaks Restaurant, in Wayne Township. Please note that electric bike batteries are not included in this recycling program. Our goal is to provide a system to help keep batteries out of the trash, which in turn helps to minimize the potential for fires in trash trucks and the landfill. This is a free service to residents of Clinton County. Businesses are not eligible to use this program.
Residential batteries can be dropped during our normal business hours, Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 12 Noon.
