Lady Bucks Fall to Northwest in Home Matchup
FARWELL – The Bucktail softball team hosted a tough Northwest Area squad on Thursday and, despite a strong effort in the circle from Carrie Ditty, fell by a final score of 11-1.
Northwest broke through with two runs in the fifth inning before pulling away late, scoring six in the sixth and three more in the seventh. Bucktail managed one run on a single hit, while committing seven errors in the field.
Carrie Ditty pitched 6.2 innings for the Lady Bucks, giving up seven hits and 11 runs while walking six and striking out seven. Eva Sockman came on in relief to finish the game. Kendall Wagner recorded Bucktail’s lone hit.
Northwest’s Jenna Robaczewski was dominant in the circle, striking out 14 Lady Bucks and walking just one in a one-hit effort.
The Lady Bucks will travel to Lewisburg on Monday.
