LHU: Hines cracks top-10, leads Men’s Cross Country to 5th place finish at PSAC Championships
MANSFIELD, PA – Chris Hine (Plains, Pa./Holy Redeemer) ran to All-Conference status and led the way today for the Lock Haven University men’s cross country team at 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship, hosted by Mansfield University at the Lamb’s Creek Recreation Area Course in Tioga County.
Hine cracked the top-10 and finished ninth out of 146 runners on the way to All-Conference honors. He covered the 8K course in 25:36.1.
Morgan Gavitt (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville) just missed All-Conference honors (top-30) with a 34th place finish (26:26.1).
Mason Ochs (Oakmont, Pa./Riverview) and Noah Shedden (Canton, Pa./Mansfield) finished among the top-50 with times of 26:47.5 (40th) and 26:52.9 (44th), respectively.
Andrew Wehrle (Rossiter, Pa./Punxsutawney) rounded out Lock Haven’s top-five finishers today (62nd, 27:26.1) and Tanner Walter (New Columbia, Pa./Milton) was just behind (27:26.7, 63rd).
As a team, Lock Haven finished fifth overall today.

For Lock Haven, the 2022 postseason run will continue on Saturday, Nov. 19 when the Bald Eagles return to Mansfield for the 2022 NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championship meet. Last season, Lock Haven placed ninth at the regional meet.
