LIBERTY, PA – The Central Mountain Lady Wildcat Volleyball travelled north to Liberty on Thursday evening to take on the 5-0 North Penn Liberty Mounties in volleyball. The Lady Wildcats returned home victorious, handing NPL their first loss of the season. In a very entertaining match CM gave up an early 8 point lead in set #1 but held on to prevail 26-24. In set #2 the Wildcats led from start to finish, winning 25-18. NPL rallied to claim set #3 25-18 before CM finished the match taking set #4 25-20.
Central Mountain was led by Tori Marquardt with 23 assists, and Sophia Hardy with 15 assists. Kyleigh McDermit led the Wildcats in kills with 13, followed by Keely Rohrbach with 10. Makenna Stratts led CM in digs with 8, and Reese Walizer chipped in with 7 digs as well.
The 3-2 Wildcats are back in action on Saturday as they head south to St. Francis University to compete in a 28 team tournament. Their next home match is Tuesday when they host DuBois. The Record-Online will be live streaming Tuesday match. |
